Us Aussies'll eat pretty much anything that moves!!
Most people I know do/have eaten kangaroo. I prob would eat it once or twice a fortnight. It is very good for you, hardly any fat, high in iron, low in cholestorel etc Oh, and cheap!!
On all counts it is better for you then beef.
The trick to cooking it is DO NOT overcook!! it can get tough, I recommend chucking it on the BBQ and take it off while still pink (not bleeding though!). I prefer to buy it marinated but anyway is good.

More and more people are eating kangaroo these days. It is on the menu at a lot of top restaurants and can also be purchased at the supermarket. As others have said already, it's cheap, better for you than other types of meat and tastes great.

The answer is no. I have tried Kangaroo meat once, its quite different from other red meats and is extremly low in fat.

Its best eaten rare to medium rare as to much cooking makes it tough.

Depends where abouts in oz you are. As with most things its more popular in some areas than others. In Melbourne its been experiencing a steady rise in popularity and is readily available in the supermarket. I do eat it occassionally and find it to be pretty yummy.

Perhaps surprisingly, no!

I only tried it for the first time recently, but it wasn't to my taste. I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't purchase it myself. It's alot like beef but with a stronger flavour. I had it barbequed.

I believe it is the leanest meat in the world with less than 0.01% fat.

tut tut tut tut what Sonny. They're going to eat you? Not me, no way. I grew up watching Skippy save the world. Couldn't sit down and tuck into a meal with her on my plate!
