I know taste in clothing differs according to the individual, but I'd like to get a sense of the "vibe" of Chicago nightlife.

Thanks : )

Jeans are always popular. Or sleek black pants. Usually a nice top, either short sleeves or sleeveless. No gym shoes. Boots or heels are the way to go. And accessorize, but in moderation.

Overally, I've been surprised by the variety of fashion in the Chicago scene. Some dresses here and there. People are pretty open to individual style. It's not like some NYC clubs where you have to wear a label to get in. Just look like you put some effort into it.

I know that during the summer months gauchos with tank tops are very popular, and in the winter I would recommend black pants or dark jeans with a halter or tank top and a sweater or bolero. Just always remember that if you are not wearing much on top, compensate with pants and vice versa. Jeans are always in style and cute sandals or boots are always a great accessory! And the best thing you can wear to a nightclub in Chicago is a smile, most of the girls down here seem to have forgotten that looking like you've been sucking on a lemon all night is NOT attractive!!
