Im just wondering because I keep dreaming about one of my ex's and it weird b/c we been broke up for almost a year. When i wake up i can almost feel him next to me. Ive moved on but alot of times my mind just keeps wondering about him. Is this normal?

i'd say most do. time has a way of alleviating the anger and sadness, thus allowing the good parts to come back to a more prominent place in your psyche. and your mind and your body get used to certain thoughts and feelings after living with them for a period of time. so it isn't odd to "feel him there" some mornings. it certainly does not mean that you still love him or haven't moved on.

I don't know about the waking up part. When we grow close to someone, something happens that is out of this world to understand or even try to describe. I have an ex- that still dreams about me or feels when something isn't going good in my life. And he calls and is usually right. I have the same thing for him. I would just give him a call to see how things are going and tell him what you are thinking.

Yes, I have been through that, and eventually needed to learn how to deal with it:
Moving on means living in the present--and you are not doing that. Take a class, or start a hobby in something that really interests you--not only will it keep you occupied, but you might meet people there who share your interests.

Get into meditation, healthy living, going out with friends or relatives, reading, writing, art, music--anything that you enjoy and will hold your interest.

Yoga, aerobics, and walking in the fresh air, are all good for the mind and body. They also keep you balanced, and are likely to help you sleep better at night.

Four years my ex and i have been away from each other and i do think about him a lot. I'm always dreaming about him but in my dream we're back together and he's staying with us again and then i start to panic as i'm not too sure it's a good idea but when i waken up in the morn and realise it's only a dream i'm relieved. Although he was the love of my life but we knew it was over. Yes it's normal.

sounds like you still have some kind of feelings for him, maybe not the old ones. he seemed to have a profound affect on you. i think it is pretty normal, just to wonder from time to time. i often wonder about someone that used to be in my life, i do it in a unhealthy way and prevent myself from any serious relationships.

if yall were on any kind of good terms, call just to chat maybe. that might be bad advice though, but at least it would get it out your system. better advice would to be just leave it alone.

Missing is maybe the wrong word, but some of the mutual interests and how they affected both, I still miss those after 40 years.

I miss the 5 minutes of fury that I shared with them.

Nothing else.
