im 16 and i just recently started wearing make up.. i dont know about other girls but i care about the image i get for wearing certain things and so on... I'm not going to say i conver myself with turtle necks and all that but i dont like showing too much of my body off... and i do love dramatic make up... i love it.. but i know in what occassions to wear it and well.. im almost 17, i think that has somewhat of a word. 13 is too young.. i think at 13 all you should be wearing is a really light lip gloss... but thats about it.

I started wearing make-up when I was 13 too. I'm 20 now, and I've perfected it. Hehehe, took 7 years. Anyway, 13 is the age you start experimenting with clothes, and make-up. It's the age when you start finding yourself. Most girls go through this. It is not a weak minded ploy, and it is not a way to show how "hot" they are. Teenage years is all about experimenting to find out what you're comfortable in, and who you are. Don't want to hit 20 and you don't know much about yourself.

Okay just face the fact that its just a fad i bet that when all you were teenagers everything you wore, listen to, or talk about was look down upon..Now its the same I know the dressing level has reduce to almost to none..but its the teenagers years your suppose to make mistakes and learn from them and if you dont make any then jebus your so smart..Im 15 years old and i started where eyeliner at the age of 13 but i dont dress like that you can give me a pair of jeans with a AFI band tee and a eyeliner stick and if im up for it black eyeshadow and im good..It just that society has a different impact on everywhere just that one scene is more popular the others.. its a fad like the grudge kids they fade out because now there all in their 30's

It's true. This is happening. When I, Myself, was thirteen i was doing the same exact thing. It's all because of peer pressure. Girls that age need more self confidence. I only wish that i hadn't made such horrible mistakes back then. I think it's very important for parents to make their little girls feel loved and show them it's much better to wear cute but classy clothes.

i'm 12 (13 in below a week) an I positioned on initiating, concealer, lipstick/lipgloss, eyeshadow - usually black, brown or gray, mascara - black, eyeliner - black on staggering and backside waterline besides as around entire eye smudged bellow, Bronzer except i choose for to seem dwindled coz i'm clearly dwindled and my initiating fits my dermis tone, i visit apply a highlighter on my foreheadbone and cheek bones, I at times fill in my eyebrows, and that's approximately it different than in line with danger a watch primer and powder and stuff yet yeah. makeup is approximately expressing your self so relatively this is all approximately what makes you soft and you suspect to portray who you're. My mothers and fathers do no longer possibly care what makeup I positioned on considering that i purchase it and that they by no potential say something. simply by fact this is me expressing who i'm and what my type is, and that i do no longer care what others think of they understand that it kinda potential i do no longer care in the event that they do no longer like it. Expressing who i'm is a long far extra significant than making those with happy bearing directly to the type you seem.

I am 13 and yea, some girls at my school wear skimpy clothes, but it's their problem. Some girls (like me) do wear makeup but it's really light and our parents let us. there's nothing wrong with trying to look pretty. I understand that some girls look like prostitutes now but don't stereotype girls (teenagers) as skanks.

I am 13 and wear makeup but not too much. Not many girls in my school don't wear makeup it seems. But i also don't wear skimpy clothing. Sometimes i show a little cleavage but i wouldn't call that skimpy! I think some girls are pressured to be hot and i think i might be one of them. I think its mostly because of what we see on like MTV and the celebrities. Girls like attention and find different ways of getting it like showing off their body for example.

What can you expect if the parents allow it? Teens have always been trying to look older...that's just a part of growing up I guess. But, too many parents have lost control or don't care. Who buys the clothes? Not that it matters because parents should still say what goes on in their own home.

I'm in middle school, and everyday I feel ugly because all the girls are sticks, clothes from Hollister, and makeup. I mean, sometimes you want to give them a belt because they're walkig around in lowriders that are riding way too low.

Yes I agree. The media is corrupting our youth. They do what they see on tv and all you see on tv is half naked girls who will do anything to look "cool." Now, it's not every 13 year old girl that acts like this but I would say the majority.
