No, I didn't sign it, I drive but I am not pro cars. I would prefer more investment in public transport.

How often do governments really listen to their people?

Yes I signed it! Although I don't think it will make a bit of difference. We may kick up a bit of a stink about it but ultimately we will have to accept it, there is no real choice! I would like to know who we are clearing the roads for especially at peak times! It seems it will only be for a chosen few who can afford to drive at these times! What about transport businesses, will they be exempt? Or will the smaller firms have to close? This is a huge dirty big stick that is being wielded over us, and there could be massive consequences for everyone. There must be other ways to ease traffic congestion. I have to drive over 60 miles to work and back, mostly motorway! If this is introduced I may as well pack in my job and become one more unemployed! I'm sure the government will try to placate the million and a half of us who signed with some well spoken government type blurb! Afraid it will fall on my beaten and battered deaf ears!

Yes.
Question, if it costs more money to travel to your place of employment, than your salary pays, would you be prepared to work for nothing?

Question, if we all decided to sell our cars and use public transport, 1. What time would we arrive at our place of employment?
2. Would our "Wonderful Public Transport" system be able to cope?
