This should be interesting. I'm 61, male, own a recording studio have engineered and produced music since 1966. Started my career in 1962 as a DJ with the local radio station. Played everything from Classical to Country to Rock. Was in Mixed Chorus in HS graduated in 1964. Would have been a Geek fer sure! Spent 2 years in College then went into broadcasting full time in 1965. Because of this background I dig nearly every form of music except Rap which I don't consider as being music. Sorry. It's poetry set to a beat which is in turn created by using samples of other musicians and then looped and synthesized in too many cases. I don't know of any real musicians who like it either. Favorite Bands? Beatles, naturally. Moody Blues, Eric Clapton, Enya, Faith Hill, Train, Jewel, Cheryl Crow, Who, Fleetwood Mac, Bare Naked Ladys...pretty much anything if the melody and lyrics and hooks are good. Don't like to be screamed at or preached to when I listen to music, but my background has taught me to appreciate nearly everything that comes close to real "music".

Mostly mellow stuff like Howie Day, Jack Johnson, Bob Dylan, Counting Crows, Matchbox 20, Goo Goo Dolls, John Mayer, The Fray, G Love, Modest Mouse and Wyclef Jean. Mostly Mellow music.
