If an actress or actor sings a song, but their voice is replaced in the movie by another singer, does the actress get credited with singing the song?

No.

In the movie 'Carmen Jones,' both Dorothy Dandrige and Harry Belefonte had their voices dubbed with offscreen singers.(Those singers would be credited).

No it's called lip-syncing.. For example, In 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off', Ferris sneaks onto a float during the Von Steuben Day Parade to lip-sync "Danke Schoen" and The Beatles' version of "Twist and Shout".

At the end of the movie, at the end of most of the credits even, they list the songs and who sang them. Who *really* sang them. So no. It wasn't always this way, though.

If the actor or singer wrote it then yeah it will say written by... but then it will say performed by... But if they didn't write it just sung it then no they dont get credited.

No they don't. The real singer will be listed on the soundtrack.

No because they were 'voiced over' so its not really them singing.
