I'm interested in broadcasting on the radio and want to know what kind of equipment I would be using! (I'm actually doing my senior project on this)

If you can get an internship, that would be the way to go. I have worked in radio for over 20 years. I lucked into my job, but I know plenty of folks that got a start as an intern. If you work in sales, you would be working on the phones calling on clients and with different computer programs. I work in the programming and production part of the station. We have some nice equipment.
You'll need some good headphones if you are going to be on the air. I use AKG. Good Luck to you and your future in radio.

I took a class in radio last semester, we actually recorded our own programs. We used the board, cd players, and a microphone it was pretty basic.
