Why do we spend so much press time on women who are drug addicts and spoiled tramps?

O This is the best qustion I have seen all day!!I have spent like 2 hours on here trying to convince young girls why they are pretty and why it shouldnt matter that much. I think it is becoming my mission to help them get away from the television and see that those women are well what they are. They are not truly beatiful. To alot of people they are on the outside but true beauty comes from inside. These poor girls care more about looking like these women, acting like them to an extent, and buying expensive crap. When half of them really dont even know about real issues in the world. Half of them dont know that they are worthwhile. It really makes me sad. It sickens me to see Americas heroes being drug addicts and spoiled tramps.

Sick sells. Almost as well as sex. Hell, it's almost a career regenerating move these days to get strung out on something, go rake grass and play golf at Betty Ford, then go on Oprah and Geronimo and babble on about your "courageous struggle."

And most of the ones doing it haven't actually QUIT a damned thing.

Oh, and sick sex sells as well. But who do you blame for this? The ones selling it, or the ones buying it?

I think the whole damn country needs rehab. The kind that comes from true privation. The kind my parents faced in Europe during the second world war, maybe.

Yeah. My mother wasn't born in this country. My dad got shipped off to drop bombs when he was barely old enough to get a driver's license. How he met her. Only one of them is still around, but they both lived long enough to be sickened by comparing what this country was to what it has become.

So have I.

Yes, I know, it sucks terribly, but it's all about money. Apparently, lots and lots of people pay attention to these strange celebrities. If ever people were to not pay attention, the press would stop reporting it. They draw a lot of revenue from this stuff, and they know it. Just think about how Extra and Access Hollywood are on broadcast channels, and not cable... It's because people watch that crap.

Exactly BabaYaga, while Britney Spears is shaving her head and checking into rehab her male counterpart is stealing all the Cosmo headlines!!

While Paris Hilton gets a sex tape accidentally leaked again, so is her male counterpart!!

Who were their male counterparts again? I'm sure I saw them on the front cover of Cosmo just the other day in revealing outfits. Well you tell em grrls!

Anyway those women are clearly empowered and are getting press because of the shining example of empowerment that they are. Anyone who doesn't like it is jealous they're not a drug addict in rehab!!

It seems, almost everyone of us would like to be rich or famous or both...since we all can't have a piece of the pie, and since a lot of us do not have anything really exciting in their lives, we follow celebrities lives, imagining, dreaming, and actually also saying, 'see' that's what you get, maybe 'cause we're jealous???
