V.C. Andrews, on the copy write page they claim that these are taken from stories she intended to write. Well, she must have intended to go forever becasue she has been dead for like twenty years. Also, the Nancy Drew books. But, I forgive them becasue it is relatively known news that there are and were multiple writers for her. The same company did the Bobbsey Twins and the Hardy Boys with multiple writers.

The list is far too long for anyone to give the complete answer -you might as well ask "what is the name of a dead author?" - they still publish Dickens, Austen, Shakespeare, Hemingway ... and on and on ... all posthumously.

Gertrude Chandler Warner - The Boxcar Children was only a 19 book series, but there's tons now. But I think they just say "Created by" or "Based on characters by," I don't think they claim to be by her.
