Your mp3 player probably came with some kind of software to let you do this. I would use this first.

If up Windows Media Player with your cd in. Up top you will see rip, which will store the songs onto your computer (probably in My Music).
Next connect your mp3 player to the computer. You should be able to open up My Computer and see your mp3 player. Double-click it, then drag over the music folders in My Music.

Some of these details will vary based on the mp3 player, but the general concept should work.

You put the CD in the computer and enter your music library. You then rip the songs from the CD to the library and the MP3 player should automatically update the songs once it's plugged in. When I say "rip" I mean copy, the CD will stil have the songs on it.
