i hav a paper due on the freedom of religion does any one know where or which admendment that is talked about in , in the consititution of the united states.

Its in the first amendment. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..." is how it begins. It means the government can't be legally involved in any relgious promotion, but also cannot make any laws that would stop other people from practicing whatever religion they choose.

freedom of religion is addressed in Amendment one of the U.S Constitution in a section commonly known as the Bill of Rights.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
