No... for one, XP is now an outdated version, so Microsoft does not sell it anymore. You can only buy existing stock from third-party vendors until it sells out.

But regardless of that, why would Microsoft invest billions of dollars to research and develop Windows XP and then give it to you for free? Microsoft only offers the 64-bit edition as a trial, so you can test whether it will work correctly if you are upgrading to a 64-bit processor. Since that likely doesn't apply, the answer is, unfortunately, still no.

However, you can order OEM copies (just the CD, no box or manual, and no tech support) of XP and Vista from a number of retailers for half-price or cheaper. I like NewEgg (http://www.newegg.com/ )

No such site exists. However, now that Windows Vista is out in it's savvy hot 3 levels and is the hottest operating system ticket out, it's safe to assume legit copies of Windows XP may be found at a reduced price.
