She is addicted to serious drugs and I felt like if something happened to her and I had made no effort to help her that I would ultimately blame myself.....She is mad at me, but I did it entirely out of love. Was I wrong?

Do you think she will ever realize why I did what I did and see that I wouldn't have done it if I loved her any less?

Your friend may not understand it right now. If you made any effort in explaining your concern to her and she may feels betrayed, its ok. Maybe in the future she would grow to understand your reasoning. Give her sometime to really think these things out. Also keep in thought that her mine is still polluted with drugs, and it is difficult for her to put her thoughts into prospective

I am glad you made a good decision to help your friend. Many people in yahoo Q&A questions how they can determine if they have a real best friend or not. You have prove that real best friends do exsist. Keep your friend in your prayers, and if she comes to her reasonable thoughts about it. If she is ready to amend the friendship, there's no doubt in my mine you know what to do!

God Bless

You did the righ thting and one day...she will realize that and she will thank you for it. You are a true friend and not a lot of people would have done that in fear of being labeled a snitch or somehting.
She will open her eyes and see that you did it for the right reasons:)

she is mad at you, but she is also mad at herself for being caught and wants to blame someone....its her fault she is on drugs...i really doubt she was forced into it...she's had to be curious........you did the right thing in letting her mother know...and if she can not see you care for her, then i suggest you be a friend to her no matter what she says....because it is not your fault...........and until she realizes this, she will only drag herself deeper into the trap...try and make her see her self destruction....make a film of her if you have to, but she has to see she is slowly killing herself..........do good and good luck

you should have kept it to yourself and not said a word. if the friend wants to be self destructive, then let them find out what tough love is at home.
