A supposedly good friend of my boyfriend and I stole my brand new digital camera that my boyfriend had bought me for x-mas. I know he did it for a fact, I think he took and didn't realize I would miss it so fast and figure out that he had been the only one who could have done it. He has admitted it to aquatances. I am so angry and hurt, how dare him take something out my home. I want revenge, I don't want to physically hurt him but I want to make him pay, make his life hell. What can I do?

you don't revenge anyone, you ask for it back for starters. then you tell his parents and you want it back. then this guy is not a friend, don't let him near your stuff or in your home again. you could even get the police involve. larceny is a crime. if his parents don't do something, seek the police, that may simply scare the bejeezus out of him. it might be nice to do that without the parents knowing. it would also get him in the most trouble.

take him to small claims court. If you know he has admited to the robbery to friends, then they can testify in court and you could get the camera back, or its value plus recuperate court costs. Do it that way, if you try and get revenge any other way, you could end up hurt in one form or another. Court has straightened out a lot of situations like yours.

Stealing is a criminal offense and you're an adjunct to that crime. in the experience that your buddy desperate to call the police and you haven't any longer informed him/her the actuality then you definately could be in a position to be arrested, charged and tried for that crime.

call the police or go to his house and steal back from him. But honeslty you should confront him, and have the people who told yoy he stoled it to come along with you so you can have witnesses.

Confront him and tell him you know he took it and you want it back.

He will deny taking it but at least he knows you know. After that cross him off your list.

Don't do anything crazy...that just brings you down to his level.

Confront him on this. If he nows you know, he will feel like crap and either admit to it...deny it and admit to it later or deny it and not show his face...with any of these.,..he will ultimately feel like crap and hopefully apologize. Even if he does apologize...I wouldn't let him in my house anymore!

call the police, get a police report and put him in jail, and then prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law.
