Is too much of ANYTHING wether good (happiness, sex, love, money, kindness) or bad ( hate, anger, sickness) a good thing? I told my boyfriend too much of anything is never good but he doesn't seem to agree. So whats your opinion?

There is a time for everything, and everything has its place. A time for war, a time for peace, a time for love, etc. A little wine is good for you, being drunk is not good for you (hence a lot of wine is not). Too much sex in your marriage, and the focus of your relationship will be off center, not enough and you'll lose trust and warmth and closeness. Money is good, it pays the bills; too much focus on money and your life decisions will be based on your chasing after money rather than based on wisdom.
I agree with you, too much of a good thing is not good. Any little bit of a bad thing is too much for me to admit as good though.

Too much of a good thing will eventually make you loose your appreciation for it. Gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins, (not that I'm a huge bible reader). Over indulging in almost anything will at some point either make you sick of it, take it for granted, or have physical or psychological ramifications. As far as too much of a bad thing....I think that goes without saying.

I agree, too much of anything isn't good for you. That's why we say 'Too Much'.
But then again, everybodies idea of 'too much' differs.

Too much ice cream makes me puke, but it tastes oh so good. We have to experience our limits if we want to know where they are. That doesn't negate common sense, however. Too much ice cream at one time hasn't killed anyone yet (wait, maybe I better check that with Ripley's).

Your question is too extensive. "Anthing" means..well...ANYTHING. Food, emotions, wealth, exercise, sleep, debt...you get the point. You and your boyfriend need better things to talk about, or at least learn to take your question and narrow it down.
