I thought Dogeman was the expert. The ignition module controls the spark and injector on your vehicle. You have a problem with the fuel system, not the module. If you can start the car with starting fluid( which bypasses the fuel pump) and it starts, that means the car has spark. Whena module fails, it kills the injector and the spark of the car, so if it was bad, it still wouldn't start with starting fluid either. Do yourself a favor, pay for a proper diagnosis from a ASE certified tech and have it fixed right the 1st time. Good luck

So what about the most important thing of all, the battery! You can't do anything until you have a known good battery. If the battery is 5 or more years old, replace it and don't think twice about it! Otherwise, have the battery tested at your local auto parts store and make sure the battery cable connectors are cleaned thoroughly with a wire brush before reinstalling the good battery and tightening the cable connectors. A fully charged battery measures 12.6 volts after all the surface charge is drained off from charging the battery (after 1 hour). Buy a Digital Multi-Meter (DMM) from Sears for $15 to measure the battery voltage.

Check the oxygen sensors, after the engine is nice and warm check your catalytic to see if it is getting red,if it is getting red that means it's clogged up this two problems will cause the truck not to crank after warming up
