SSX on tour?

I have been trying to beat this game for weeks. I am a pro-master or like rank 19. But i still don't have enough $ $$ to buy all the sweet upgrades and boards. How can I get more money easily??? Some one said that you can play past events like races or trick events to collect cash for coming in first over and over again... is this true??

what i do is keep going through the levels over and over again, looking for money until i have enough to buy what i want.

Yeah it is true and the only other way is to use cheat codes but i highly dicourage. good luck
