when it comes to friendship?

and no, I don't agree with the expression "de gustibum non est disputandum", that's stupid. And yes, I'm intolerant, LOL

I don't know that personal tastes are as important as a persons spirit and the sense you have of them from observation and seeing them in both good times and in bad.
The true worth of friendship is often determined by how we react when we things go wrong, not when things go well.
I don't abandon those I care about regardless of how they feel.

Hmmmm.... lol - I don't usually taste my friends!

Seriously, I tend to gravitate to folks with the same tastes and ideas that I have, I think most of us do. You can't get really close to someone whose ideas are radically different from the ones you consider important.

I think it's very important in that it takes one's own good taste to seek out or recognize a good friend in someone else. Otherwise, sometimes if we're too trusting, we get burned ... ouch!
