Unfortunately, Bill Clinton is _not_ running the Democratic Party. If he was, they probably would have done better over the last few elections: it would be hard to find two less-competent campaigners than Sens Gore and Kerry, and there's some evidence that the Democrats will repeat the same dumb mistakes in 2008.

First of all, it's very difficult to go directly from the Senate or House to the Presidency. Nobody's done it since John Kennedy in 1960. And the Democrats persist in a system of primary elections that seem to give weight to the most radical elements of the party, groups that had their last hurrah with George McGovern in 1968 and nothing since.

If Hillary was President, I'd rather see Bill advising her as more of a Karl Rove than as a Senator. I'd really rather see him as President; too bad the constitution prevents us from that. I have always seen him as a very charming and wonderful speaker, but her personality turns me off a bit. She seems a little abrasive.

Hill's roles as the "cookie" baker, and then the hawkish on war Senator have turned me off more than impressed me. She is intelligent, but seems like she is an actor; what will her next role be? I'd like to see more of a stable personality in the President's job next time (for the first time in a while)! I'd love to see a personality test as a prerequisite for the President job!

Considering Bill signed the WTO and other free trade agreements which demolished American manufacturing jobs while making billions upon billions for all the companies that shipped the jobs overseas I greatly doubt it.
And I am a lifelong Democrat........

I very much want to see Sen. Clinton as President. She has already mentioned that Bill would make a good ambassador - have to agree with her there.

I would like to see common sense, not angry empty rhetoric dominate the Democratic Party.

But common sense and Democratic Party do not play together well and the Dems will lose their majority quickly after 2008.
