Why can't they turn things around?? Every year I hope for a rebound and every year they let me down. Oh how I long for the days of Roenick, Chelios, and Amonte.

THEY SUCK
HAVE NO GUIDANCE, NOT TO MENTION PLAYERS.

There are many things wrong with the Blackhawks. Being an avid Hawks fan myself I can tell you the problems.
1) They make poor draft choices.
-They had a terrible draft in 2000 where they had the 10 and 11 pick and chose Yakubov and Vorobiev. So far they both have a combined 111 games and 37 points while Justin Williams of the Flyers who was drafted 30 pick has 209 points in 340 games.
2) They trade away the talent they already have.
-Jeremy Roenick is a prime example of this. They traded JR for Zhamnov, Mills, and a first round pick. Mills played 20 games with the Hawks and Zhamnov was not bad. They drafted Ty Jones with the pick who played 8 games with the Hawks who was then traded for a pick.
I could go on but those are the main reasons.

The same thing that's been wrong with them for the past 15 years.
Really, this year, they're very young. Savard needs some time with this group.

Injuries killed their playoff hopes early. Now that the Bulin Wall is back along with Havlat and co. they can finish the season with dignity, but they have to stay healthy to win.

they don't have a captain. Aucoin just does not fit the role. for them to win games they're going to need a leader and aucoin is not it. he just doesn't perform like a captain should

they have owners who are in it for the money they can put in their pockets not to spend money on getting better talent.
