There is no third season but there's a movie and it called Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society.

I don't think there is going to be a 3rd season but instead a movie called
S.A.C. Solid State Society
July 3rd, 2007 is it's realease date

i don't think so. they released a movie called ghost in the shell: solid state society. this takes place a few years after GITS SAC 2nd GIG.
