to be honest i'm not sure how accurate this info is, if it is appropriated or factual

to be more accurate you might want to look into native oral traditions especially for the tribes you are talking about, read some of these stories and see what the antelope represents in them, that'd be a lot more accurate

Sorry, I don't know what (of even if) tribes the "spirit guide" concept comes from...just consider avoiding the new age versions since new age loves the concept...
