the easiest way to make Friends of consequence is to pursue activities that really light you up. Be yourself and don't worry about it. This way you will meet someone who shares your passion. That being said, there's nothing wrong with once in a while doing a bit of a self assessment to look at things that you do that you want to change for the better. A tip, when you are with someone, don't talk all the time, conversation is a two way street.

make ur self friendly... if u are new in the place, take the first step to know someone, be polite and nice as u introduce urself.. or u can also join some group activities where u will know new people ... i mean make urself known and open the oppurtunity to know new people and explore the possibility to know them more.. in that way u can make a good friend out of it...

u just hav 2 b yourself if u want 2 make real friends. talk 2 ppl & open up, nobody will talk 2 u if u dont talk 2 them 1st. also u wont make true friends if u act like someone ur not. they wont like u, they will like who ur trying 2 b

This sounds sarcastic, but i'm serious... "GET OFF THE DAMN COMPUTER!!!" Get out and talk to people. Internet friends are cool and all, but they're no substitute for someone you can hang out and do physical activities with.

You must first decide type of friends you wish to make, male or females or both. If there other matter that's important you need to mention it as well, race, age, even location.

I am new to USA, my daughter told me about a great site called 'meetup.com' . There are all different groups covering such a wide range of interests. Check it out.
