Anyone know of theatres that specialize in theatre and therapy? That is using drama for therapy?

Theatres? As in theatre companies? No. Augusto Boal's Rainbow of Desire work if highly performative and borders on dramatherapy, but is process-based and doesn't, I believe, seek performance as a goal.

To my knowledge, dramatherapy is used mainly by private practitioners, or therapists working at social service agencies, schools, or other service institutions.

NYU has a great dramatherapy program--you might start there if you're looking for resources.

This is a paradox....In therapy the goal is to be realistic which is the exact opposite of theatre which is to be in a fantasy.
