Why is charlotte not BIG??? Like why isnt it like New York,New Orleans, Atlanta, Philly, Cali, or Chicago or something. When you mention Charlotte they also say " Oh charlotte thats in north carolina" in stead of "Charlotte A Great Place"

Charlotte isn't associated with a major event, or historical happening, for one thing. (Unless you count Nascar, which I, for one, would just as soon people forget!) So Charlotte is just a mid-size, non-descript southern city.
I live about 60 miles from there, plenty close enough!

charlotte is more spread out. there are several big areas around charlotte, and there is lots to do I think its a GREAT place I live outside of Charlotte and visit there alot there are soo many things to do I wish I lived closer.

acoriding to wikipedia, charlotte is the 20th biggest city in the country so it isnt that small.
the reason it isnt a BIG city is because why would anyone come to vist Charlotte?
Beaches? no
Mountains? no
Shopping? no
Sports? eh (just the panthers and nascar)
Attractions (statue of liberty, golden gate bridge, etc.)? none
my point is there is no reason to vist CHarlotte besides if you have family.
