Saxaphone, I worked for GM,Delphi and GM SPO and we ,after being GM gypsies since 1987 when they shut down our plant.GM engines ,if well maintained (fluid changes and so forth) have anywhere from 250,000 - 1,000,000 + without a rebuild and the bodies are in great shape!o look forward to many more miles on that 350 (Just take care of it) but drive the pi--- out of it,cause its like a "ROCK"

I don't have a truck but I do have a 1992 Chevy Lumina coupe with 3.1L v6 and 3 speed tranny that I bought for $700 with 123,000 miles on it it know has 126,000 and it runs great. The car has every option for a base model Lumina. tilt wheel, power windows and locks, remote trunk release, ABS Ice cold A/C, cruse control, and three way adjustable drivers seat. every thing works fine. I gave it a full tune up spark plugs/ wires, O2 sensor, air and fuel filter, cleaned the intake out with GM intake cleaner, (lots of smoke), flushed the radiator and flushed the tranny. I also had to replace the lock up solenoid for the transmission and had to replace all the brake rotors pads and callipers. the car now runs great and still gets 20 miles to the gallon like it is supposed to the car has the original tranny and engine the tranny shifts smooth and the engine does not knock or make any noises even when its cold out and it has great passing power.as far as the Body and interior are concerned the car is clean and it looks new but it does have some scratches on the driver side door. This summer I plan on replacing the valve cover gaskets and the distributor plug gasket.

I finally changed out the engine in my wrecker at 236,000 miles. It's a 454 and the cam went flat on me. Since just the cam would have been almost half the price of the new motor, I went that route. Paid the $300 core charge and kept the old motor. Once it gets a stouter cam, it will come back to life in a race car.

WD 40 and compressed air fixed my EGR valve. I had a examine engine mild, and the code mentioned EGR valve. I force a 2001 Ford Ranger. i know from adventure which you would be able to sparkling the egr valve and finally end up with 'like new' consequences. at the beginning, you're able to be cautious utilising chemical ingredients because of the fact in case you utilize too lots they might devour away on the rubber lining interior your egr valve. rather of carb/throttle air purifier, i desperate to apply old formed WD40. right it incredibly is how I did it. I sparingly sprayed WD40 interior the chamber. I used my wifes eye liner and a q-tip to sweep out as lots carbon deposits as i ought to. I truthfully have an aircompresser (in case you haven't any longer have been given one i assume you need to use air in a can). in any case, I truthfully have air waiting to blow. Now that I truthfully have air to hand I spray a super sort of WD 40 in the chamber, throughout protecting all holes. I paintings the valve up and down a pair circumstances. Then I on the instant blow out the chamber and all holes with compressed air. this manner you wont could be anxious approximately unfavorable your rubber lining. that is now been a week and no examine engine mild! only like new boyz!
