It's not true. Males of the same species often fight one another in order to acquire the right to mate with a female. Also a male may attack and even kill his "kids". Generally, males tend to be aggresive even when it doesn't have to do with protecting themselves from another species.

This is not true. Animals will often also compete against animals of their own species for a variety of reasons. Firstly being of the same species they need the same resources, so they may compete for food or nest sites. Secondly males may compete with other males for mates. This is prevalent in animals such as the elephant seal where the large males have bloody fights with other males to secure the right to mate with a large number of females.

I would guess you mean species, not spaces.

Depends on the form of aggression. When a white-tailed deer buck is attempting to mate with a doe he is aggressive toward other bucks that might be potential breeders.

When birds congregate at a bird feeder you see aggression across species.

When some idiot pokes at a snake, the snake will strike back at him/her.

Animal aggression has been most studied in human pets. http://www.animalhealthchannel.com/aggression/index.shtml

I'm assuming you mean you mean "species" and not "spaces".
It's not true, humans, chimpanzees, dogs, and many other animals have all shown aggressive behavior toward those of their kind. I volunteer at a humane society, so trust me that dogs will show aggressive behavior toward each other.
