no one will ever go 16-0 because the salary cap and free agency levels the playing field so much that no one team could possibly be that dominant...plus certain coaches would sacrifice the record to keep their starters healthy for the playoffs

Technically, it already happened. The Miami Dolphins may had to have only play 14 regular season games the year they went perfect but they did go 17-0 for the entire season. If you're gonna ask this question, it should really be who will go 19-0. That could be the Colts.

You will not see team go 16-0. Teams hav to deal with the salary cap, free agency, inguries and the other treams being just as strong. In Baltimore it looks like Jamal Lewis is going to be cut because of the salary cap (1,000 yard rusher). San Diego almost did it this year but they will not go 14-2 or 16-0. Coaching changes will hurt them. Of any team New England or the colts might do it.

I think the Colts especially if they keep most of their starters if not all. The Pittsburgh Steelers almost did it in 2004 when roethlisberger played. They went 15-1 They lost the second game his first start.

Hey dick g. they didn't say 0-16!
No team will go 16-0, it's too difficult! Especially when the season is so long that when a team gets near the end of the season and they are undefeated they would probably rest their best players and get ready for the playoffs resulting in a loss!

The Colts or Patriots have the best chance of going 16-0, but I think the patriots first, because of the coaching and the players mentallity that they can pull it off first!!! ( kinda bias but i'm a patriots fan!!)

the dolphins went 17-0 in 1972, but that includes 3 playoff games.

so a pefect season in this day and age would be 19-0 but i assume your just talking about a perfect regular season. who has the best shot? i don't really think any team now has a good shot. possibly the Chargers has the best shot but in this age of free agency and salary caps it will be very tough to win

Almost impossible to go 16-0 because coaches will sit players once they have clinched a playoff berth. And yes, the salary cap is a great equalizer. Baltimore's defense will get them the closest as they win their first 10-11 games.

Nobody. I think Indy will probably get to like 14-0, but probably never 16-0. The game is too leveled now than it was back then.
