I have heard you put sugar in the water with them OR you need to snip the ends every day to keep them fresh and change the water every day too...

First recut, at an angle, about 1 to 2 inches off the bottom of the stems. Then submerse the entire rose(s) (blossom and stem) in luke warm water for about 30 mins. Shake off the excess water and put in a vase with tepid water. Change the water daily and remove any discolored or drying petals from each blossom. I've had roses look lovely for over a week using this method.

Fill your vase with 7-up or Sprite and re-trim the stems at an angle everyday. An aspirin in the water is suppose to work too:) Isn't it sad they don't last longer? Mine from Valentine's Day are shot already:((( I didn't follow my own advice!lol
Good Luck!!

Dont think I am crazy, But a littly tiny bit of bleach in the water will cut down on alge forming and keep them living longer too. I have heard of sugar as well.
