I agree it sounds suspiciously like a homework assignment... but I have to answer because I hope others will read the book- anyone who cares about children. It helps us all to realize that you never know what someone else is going though, and that compassion is needed in every situation. So if you see a girl in tattered clothes, be nice to her, because you may be the only one who cares. If there is a kid who steals from you, perhaps they are crying for help, not just being mean.

I read this book about a year ago. It was a very inspiring book. The reason?

To see what the main character had to go through can teach many children to cherish what they have. Even though the main character had many struggles and obstacles he overcame them. Not many people this day could do that, they would just give up. Reading this book helped me to become a better person and showed me that you should never take a good family for granted.

This sound suspiciously like someone trying to get us to do their homework. The "in a paragraph" part gives it away. Nooo!!!!! I won't do it!!!
