I'm just wondering if they have to pay money to get their car pimped..

Most all of the people that get their car "pimped" couldn't afford to pay for it. Sponsors of the products getting installed usually front the cost or most of it I'd say.

The people who get their car "pimped" don't have to pay for the car (it's theirs) or the stuff, (it's given to them) but they might have to pay sales tax on the value of the items, and/or they might have to claim it as income on their income taxes.
