I'm looking to get a new electric guitar. I'm in a band and we play mostly alternative music. I want one that will sound good, but looks good too. Suggestions?

I like Gibsons & Fenders,,altho there are many good guitars.What you should know tho is that,,like Gibsons have a flat back neck as fenders have a rounded like baseball bat neck.You should play & see which you prefer.A good guitarist can make any guitar sound good or get the sounds that they want. I personally never liked Fenders. I'd suggest an ESP. For some reason I've always liked them. I have one now and am happy with it. But try some out and see which ones you like. It's up to you. If price doesnt matter: Gibson, all the way.

it all depends on what style u want to play. But i have a stagg its a UK brand.
