It isn’t simply that some people in the world are rich and some people are poor. The truth is that some people in the world are rich because other people are poor.

That is the ugly truth about the capitalist society we live in.

Capitalist's game is to steal from the workers...to give to the bankers, the bosses and the Wall Street speculators.

Karl Marx couldn’t have put it better himself.

Never fear. The real problem with poor workers is that they are mostly dreamers. As Marx said., Religion is the opium of the masses, but these days its the celebrity culture that prolongs the dream. Give them silly credit cards and fill their heads with c**p and feed them a diet of celebrity rubbish and they think they live in a free, fair and equal society. Bull.

And that is the gripe I have with American friends WAKE UP! its not all Rosy and dory. I live here too. its actually c**p. Thanks for having me..

I'm afraid not dude; when you succeed financially, you aren't stealing from someone else. There is a concept called wealth creation, whereby no one has to lose, and people only do lose to the extent they don't satisfy the market they are in. Marx was wrong. If you don't like capitalism, why do you contribute to it? Every time you buy groceries, you contribute to a "greedy capitalist"'s welfare. Every time you take a taxi, same thing. When you buy a piece of furniture or other equipment for your home,... you guessed it. Unless you live in a commune, you're a hypocrite.

Marx had a good idea, but our population is too large to possibly return to a functional communist society, becuase there wouldn't be enough food to go around. There's nothing that can justify* the giant gap between the rich and the very poor, but it can be explained by years and years of advancement in stratifications between populations becuase of assigned roles that are the outcome of population growth and a need for an idea of what to do with the surplus of food from advancements in agriculture.

I wish we were all equal too.

You are a socialist, if not communist.

It is sad how wrong you are about economics.

The rich earn it because they offer goods and services that others want to buy. They make a profit, which is a reward for that effort.

This excludes the trust fund babies and those who inherit it.

I suspect you have never met anyone who has earned it the American way. I know lots of them. There is nothing stolen from anyone. The problem is you have no understanding of how capitalism works.

I hope you enjoy staying broke in the most prosperous nation in the world

If you bother to look at Socialist/Communist societies, you'll see the gap is actually forced upon the poor. Socialists take what others produce in order to benefit the Party Elite. You can be sure Fidel Castro does not wait in endless lines hoping to get soup bones for supper.

In a Capitalist system, each person gets to keep what they earn and they get to improve their earnings by improving their skillsets. Therefore, anybody can become wealthy without first being required to serve the Socialist Party.

The Capitalist system is the most free and offers the most opportunity for success to anyone who is motivated. That is why in America's Capitalist system, there are so many new millionaires every year. All it takes is motivation and education.

The vast majority of the poor include the following:
Folks who dropped out of high school
People who don't believe in working because they hate the government
Lazy people
Unlucky people
People who don't believe in themselves...
And lastly, those who are blind to the Rugged Individualism that this country is made of. In this country, you work as hard as you want in order to benefit yourself. Most of these folks didn't work hard enough for their own benefit, and so look where they are. There are a good number of exceptions, like those who have large families and happen to hate all their bosses, but the rest are the result of their own lack of RI. Responsibility is a huge player in the game of rich and poor.

Why ask a question if you already have an answer in mind?

I live a more comfortable existence than most people in the world, but by U.S. standards I am certainly not rich. Who did I steal from?

In a "vacuum" that would be the case. Fortunately we live in a country that will temper that to a point but Jesus did say we will always have our poor. For a healthy society, the well to do will help out its poor.

You are absolutely incorrect. It is capitalism that raises the poor to middle class levels. It is socialism that grinds humanity under the heal of elitist.
