Try fingernail polish remover! That ought to do it:) (I know they use hairpray for removing ink on leather, etc...but I don't know about on metal.)Then just wipe it out with a damp rag.
Good Luck!!

All above answers are worth a try. However, remember to clean the spots that you cleaned! You don't want to cause a fire in your dryer, and most of the the chemicals listed above are highly flammable.
Another option to try is the Magic Eraser by Mr. Clean. I accidentally left a leaking pen on the top of my old dryer, nothing ever got it off and I think I tried everything. I never tried the Magic Eraser though, so it might be worth a try.
Don't dry any clothes in the dryer until the ink is gone.

I hesitate to point ANY cleansing products which would be flamable while heated. That leaves out hydrogen peroxide, WD40 and paint thinner. you are able to evaluate soaking some rags in bleach and then working the no longer too nicely wrung out rags for the duration of the dryer. i'd purely enable wipe off all the surplus and enable the colour cook dinner into the end via working the dryer on a severe cycle with some rags in it quite of clothing. i do no longer think of even though is left after that cycle would rub off on moist outfits. it relatively is a tricky call. purely be careful approximately what you utilize or call and ask an equipment restoration guy or woman.

I personally would saturate a rag with WD 40 and wipe the dryer out with that. Then I would clean that with a mild dish soap and water then rinse. WD 40 will get out grease and oil and should work on ink as well. Good Luck
