Tell me, when in America did if become acceptable or not a problem for a woman to make a mistake or become confused and she is off the hook because she is a woman? When did it become acceptable that a man cannot tell a woman what to do ever, and this is acceptable? Its suppose to be an equal country but all I ever see is woman using the sense of entitlement to get away with things and not be held acountable all the time. Nice country we live in. USA is on its way out, because of this sense of mentality. Good Luck!

Sorry Peter that a perfect being like yourself must view this world full of people who are not on the same level as you. Oh we really are not worthy to be around someone with god like characteristics such as yourself. With the notable exceptions of tolerance, forgiveness and compassion.
If the east crushes the west you will probably be one of the first casualties since you can't seem to deal with any change.
Go take some valium it will take the edge of your mind.

Baba Yaga, your statement is incorrect. If a man believed that the world was round, but had no sources to prove it, would that make his belief false? No. Just because you don't have concrete sources to back something up doesn't mean a phenomenon isn't going on. For all the preachings of "freedom" in any country, certain statements just don't slide. In times of intense nationalism, for example, people who speak out against causes like war (Dixie Chicks anybody?) tend to get shot down and strongly condemned. A big problem with academia is that it has its own bias and agenda. If you pick up a history textbook, there will ALWAYS be a bias, toward some direction or another. That is why one must always consider Point of View when one reads a document; the catch is that you have to know a lot of information before you can tell a point of view, in which case your own viewpoint has already been affected by what you have read. Remember that when you type a variation of NO SOURCE, NOT FACT.
I'm going to take this opportunity to ask why so many members on this board are insulting the other members. That doesn't give any particular credence to you point, although it may make a few friends or enemies since humans are emotional creatures and don't like taking insults. Try and be a little more civil; this especially goes out to the women since you're supposed to be superior in the spheres of communication and morality.
To answer the question, there probably wasn't any specific point where less blame was placed on women; it was a transition that is still occurring and can still change. Not ALL women get away with so much in today's society; it just appears that the overwhelming majority do due to location and to a certain degree popular opinion. To tell you the truth though, I think that men might pull the same things if they grew up believing they had been/were victimized and bullied by the state, grew up with a sense of entitlement as a result of social customs, and was more protected by the law. Sorry if this all seems like rambling (it is); my overall point is that it's a continuum of change, and women aren't as strongly believed today as they used to be, as in the late 80's and 90's. It really seems that our society is getting some sense back in it's head. But maybe I'm flat out wrong.

If you hate this western society so much, leave. Your wish that this country be destroyed is infinitely worse than a few women's feelings of entitlement. Get over it buddy, we are free and don't have to do anything you tell us to just because you are a man. The fact that you didn't give any specific examples is proof(to me) that you just hate freedom for women.
Gabe, I'm sure that there have been plenty of male servicemembers in similar cases that have been given the exact same deal. That kind of deal isn't just limited to females in the military.

i need a little more information here on what you are talking about? committing crimes? committing adultery? pregnancy? wearing a mini skirt instead of a pair of pants?
in what context do you say it is ok for her to make a mistake because she is immediately let off because she is a woman. in the majority of cases, i dont think that this is true.
to address a different part of what you are saying: why should a man tell a woman what to do? in the same way, a woman should not be able to tell a man what to do. unless you a person's employer, talking about the work they are being paid to do, nobody should tell someone else what to do. they may make suggestions about what they think they should do, but that is it. this is free choice.

I pray the East crushes the West in the EU first, preferably starting with Scandinavia, specifically Finland or Sweden would be good. Actually with the Muslims demanding Sharia law for Muslim inhabitants in Sweden my dream might come true.
In the absence of Christianity, a Muslim moral compass is an acceptable alternative. I'd prefer things to be more liberal the way liberal was defined two hundred years ago, but the way it is defined now, I'd accept a religious state ruled by the anti-christ himself if it mean't we'd be rid of it.

Funny, funny. I am totally cracking up. No a man can't tell a women what to do here. And she can't tell him what to do either. If someone makes a mistake or becomes confused or changes his/her mind, that it that person's choice. Should we stone them for it? You just sound like a crybaby who isn't in control like you thought you should be. We aren't on the way out, baby. We are getting better and better, just like Europe because we ALL wear the pants now!

Bless you brother i see a sparkle in you , an awakening to re explore your identity as a male independant of what females say.
Keep it up but remember this is a path fraught with hardships unless you give up the stereotype role assigned to you as a male.
God bless you and dont take it to heart what the respondents say take it like a man .Yes how long has it been since we used this phrase eeeeeeHHHHHH????

To those who ask for evidence, what about Kelly Flinn? She was the first female B-52 pilot in the US Air Force, who was to be court-martialed for committing adultery with a married civilian, disobeying a written order (to stay away from said civilian), and making a false official statement.
However, that instead of receiving the court martial, she was allowed to resign with a general (honorable) discharge instead of a dismissal (dishonorable discharge) seems like a viable example to me.
EDIT:
Littleviv2000: Then I guess the onus is on you to provide examples of men getting the same deal.

Yeh!!
Just because justice statistics for example The Bureau of Justice System NCJ 143498 report shows things like:
Men are one fifth as likely as women to be acquitted for the same crime.
Men are 16% more likely to be imprisoned if convicted.
Men receive prison sentences 2.7 times longer than women for the same crime.
Does not mean women make any mistake and get off the hook. There are severe mistakes there made by women that got them sent to jail, just nowhere near as much and not for as for nowhere near as long as men.
So it's definitely all in his head. Yeh. Like definitely.

This is the problem: "...all I ever see is...". You are looking to find what it is you wish to 'see'. No concrete examples provided? That means it's all in your HEAD.
