Right click My Computer>Properties, select Computer Name tab, select 'Change' at the bottom.

Right click on the "my computer" icon on your desktop or click start-control panel-system. The Menu that opens up has a tab "Computer Name" click that tab and then click the button that says "Change computer name" and you should be able to change the computer name from there.

Control Panel > System icon > Computer Name tab
Click the "Change" button and it will walk you through changing the name

hold down the windows key and hit the pause/break key. then select the computer name tab.
