SInce the 1960's to now can you argue that the Buckeyes are not the premiere program in college football?

Question

No team wins year in and year out, making major bowl after major bowl. Even down years are trips to a late December/early January bowl. What team has been consistentaly better in college football in the past 50 yeasr than OSU? Im not even a Buckeyes fan, just curious to see who even compares.....and dont say Notre Dame, they forgot about the late 90's! I'm also not trying to hear who has more titles, wins, etc....I want to know whos been more CONSISTENT in the past 50 years!

Since there have been pre season rankings Ohio State has been ranked more than any other team...i think there have only been three seasons since the rankings that the buckeyes have not been ranked and they are number 2 only behind okla. in being ranked #1 in the preseason polls so yes over the years they have been one of the most if not the most constatant college football programs

i believe everyone so far has overlooked probably the best team the last 40 or 50 yearsthe florida state seminoles a constant 10 win team till recently 11 strait bowl wins
since 1947 they are 443-211-17 (.673)
2 national championships
15 conference titiles
9 strait conf champs from 92 200
35 bowl games

and to trojo who answered above me the site i found has the corn huskers going 385- 168 since 1950
and has ohio state at 447-178

since 1960 through 2006 the nebraska cornhuskers record is 444-115-6 vs ohio state 402-123-10. so i'd say nebraska has been the best and most consistant since 1960. that included 33 straight years with at least 9 wins.
wize guy, from 1950 through 2006 ohio state is 465-147-15 nebraska is 483-173-9. florida state record since 1950 is 427-204-17

Has anybody forgot about USC????? They have built a real dynasty. No other team has more Pro Hall of Famers, MVPs, Heisman's, and Super Bowl Champs than USC. They have more BSC championships than The Buckeyes, and they always have a good freshman class. Nobody can beat the Trojans.... EVER.

the only ones i can think of that compare are michigan, usc, and nebraska, and usc and nebraska have had some down years in that time for sure

i am in no way a tennessee volunteer, but you have to look at their record as well.......i am a fan of the fighting irish, but in the last fifty years they have struggled, and i will be the first to admit that, but i will never go against my irish.....but the volunteers of tennesse, have been pretty good at being in holiday games over the last twenty years anyway...oh and for julyanlet.....i think i watched them stupid as* trojans get beat by......oh lets see.....UCLA.....you stupid fuc*
