I've heard some 18 year olds protesting that they cant drink but they are old enough for war. And i wonder how many 18 year olds die to alcohol as apposed to how many 18 year olds die in war.
I dont know how anyone can know this, but its worth a try.

Oh they have a way of knowing !! The array of stats available on auto accidents is amazing....& quite sad as well.

The numbers have declined a little in recent years, but for the year 2005 (most recent available) the number of alcohol related deaths for 16-20 year olds was just shy of 3000 people. Rather ironic when you consider that is the same number of all aged military casualties we have suffered in Iraq for the four years we have been at war.

Sad that there aren't people protesting & marching in the streets over this needless slaughter of young people. Remember that figure is an annual stat.

Check out the site for the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety , or the National Highway Safety Institute for all sorts of numbers going back twenty years covering age, gender, even time of day.
