Ammendment VI of the US Constitution:

" In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense."

You don't have a right to see the witness, so none I suppose.

Oh and as my own little footnote specifically aimed at our American cousins. I value the views of people from both sides of the Atlantic but I hope you can agree with me that quoting from US law and the US constitution is not really relevant when talking about legal matters in the UK, this is after all a UK specific website.

The right to a fair trial. it's a very different ballgame if your accuser has to actualy face you then if they can accuse you via videotape. If it's the defendant tape is okay.

The big thing is the cross examination though.

not having legal counsel is a violation too, as is denial of evidence to be used against you to that counsel.
