At school the really religious kids keep telling me about how Stephen Hawking proved the existance of a higher being through quantum physics, but they never tell me what the experiment was. I figure if it's true, then the Christian Right would've grabbed a hold and never let go of it in the media, and quite frankly everyone would believe in God (since there would be proof of it). Anyone mind pointing me to the direction of this proof? I can't find it anywhere

This is totally false... what Stephen Hawking fancifully says about some of the work he has done has been twisted into Christian propaganda... Nothing in any of the stuff I have read about Dr. Hawking's work suggests the existence of a supreme being, much less proves it.

i've got by no ability heard that. you're extraordinary, the religious extraordinary would've jumped on that from the 1st actual 2d if it have been actual. yet as a side word, i contemplate whether the relatively religious young ones at your college understand that Hawking isn't a Christian in any way, shape or style. i'm not sure if i'd call him an atheist, yet he surely does not have self assurance in a private god.

I heard on tv that Stephen Hawking is British. I told my wife "Funny, I couldn't even tell by his accent."
