ok i was playing my guitar, and i was doing a hammeron on the fretboard and something just snapped in the palm of my right hand. I kept playing but had to stop b/c it felt weird. Now my palm is swelling and my thumb wont stay straight, it doesnt hurt to much to type, but when I try to straighten my thumb it hurts.

Any ideas as to what I did? or what I can do? I figured i could just wear my arm brace like usual....since i have tendonitis in my left hand...lol

Sounds like a tendon.. Ice it.. I've been playing 40 years.. Build up your grip after you heal.. squeeze a tennis ball.. do finger board stretches.. one finger to a fret.. then expand the pinky or the index finger. Stay limber. I've never heard of that happening doing a hammer on.. Ice it.. you'll be fine. .see dr. or take some Advil or Motrin.

Because that is off limits. She's not ready for that. Either give up for a while or be a little more sublte. You have to work your way up to these things slowly.
