Does GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900 phone works at Cingular network?
I hered that cingular uses 850 MHz and 1900 MHz .
I'm planning to buy a sony ericsson K750i and this phone has a GSM 1900 but does not have GSM 850.
I live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Do you think this phone will work?

wow hope you didn't get to into those incorrect or very short answers yeah it will work and 1900 is the frequency used in European countries. any phone that is tri ban or quad ban like the one you are inquiring about will work in the u.s. that's why cingular is really the only truly world phone company. as long as the phone is either branded by cingular or has been unlocked it will work just fine and the coverage you are asking about is just fine there for cingular
hope that helps

Most of Cingular's phones are GSM 850 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900, WCDMA 850 / WCDMA 1900
Your phone would work providing it is unlocked :)

It should. The US standard used to be only 1900, and it is still supported. 900 and 1800 are generally overseas frequencies.

theTRUTH - I believe your stetement regarding 1900 being a European frequency in incorrect. Check out the following website:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GSM_frequency_ranges

1900 is for US/Canada/and many other contries in the Americas.
