i own a repair shop,and i recommend every 5 years at the most,some of today's cars and trucks the battery's will last a lot longer in them,but anything over 5 years old,and it could die on you at anytime,i replaced mine at 5 years even though it was still good,i didn't want to be out somewhere and it break down,but change it if its over 5 years old,you,ll be glad you did,good luck,i hope this help,s.

I would recommend having your battery tested any place that sells and installs batteries can do this a lot of places will even do it for free with that said some batteries last for 10 years some for 2 years it is all about the quality of battery you had originally but I normally put a battery in my car ever 4 to 5 years just to be safe because who wants to be stranded.

Change the battery when it will not longer hold a charge. How do you know when that point is reached, you probably want to ask. You know that point is reached when there isn't enough power in the battery to start the car. You can have the battery tested but make sure the place is reliable because--well you know why, right?

If you live in an area with lots of snow. I would change it about every 3 years. Otherwise 5 years is just fine.

like never. it lasts for a reallly long time. but if ur car wont start, then just call AAA and they'll jump ur battery for free.
