F-150, because of the interior layout, interior noise, and resale value.

Depends on what year you're thinking of. If you're thinking used, Ford all the way. But for 2007, it's completely different. The Ford is now in it's fourth year, and due for a replacement in a couple years, but the Chevy has been remastered beautifully in the last six months, and based on the Tahoe and Suburban ratings on which the Silverado is based, reliability should be lightyears ahead of the Ford. 2006- go w/ the Ford. 2007-definitely Chevy.

I say Chevy! Here is my story from last week: Dropped off a show truck in Las Vegas for the SEMA show. Had my brother tow it there from San DIego behind my 2002 F 350 Super Duty crew cab utility bed diesel. The rear end went out getting onto the freeway on his way home (truck has 200,000+ miles on it). I borrowed a 2008 Dodge mega cab diesel with 54,000 miles on it (second transmission) and as soon as I pulled off the 15, the trany went out again. I made a few calls and had a 1999 Dodge diesel flat bed truck drive up to pick us up. It made it there and back no problems, towing a heavy Dodge. Turned around and went back to pick up the F 350. Made it home the next day. Yesterday 3rd gear went out in the flat bed (it is a manual trans). I used my bosses 05 Chevy 3500 diesel (154,000 miles) to tow it home. What a week! The best truck would be a F 350 frame/suspension with Alison transmission, Cummins diesel and a Silverado body (most comfortable) The Dodge tows the best, but rides like poop The Ford runs like a champ but does not have as much power as the Cummings The Chevy is the most comfortable but the front suspension and steering wears out the quickest (the reason I have a Ford as a tow vehicle)

F-150!!! hands down.
i understand that the silverado looks good. but the new F-150 look hot.. but they are so much safer! SOO much safer. if you look at a front end frame of a F-150 compared to the Chevy Silverado.. there is such a big difference. there metal frame all in the front of the Ford. if you look at the Chevy it only goes to the side. in the front there is no frame. it is scary it you look at it. and also there are just so many safety thing that are different. you should really look it up.

i personally have driven both a 2005 ford f150 xlt and a 2005 silverado, for extended periods of time (i work for a pool company, i drove the ford for a year and the chevy for a year) they were both pretty good..we beat on them pretty bad..id have to say the chevy..my ford was in the shop more..had a problem in the rain..the battery would die when i was 100 miles away from my base, tried to fix it but to no avail. had to bring it to a top ford technitian 2 states away to figure out the problem and to this day its been there..the chevy just kept takin a beating..just regular scheduled maintenence..and the overall layout in the chevy was nice..the ford was a little smaller in comparison.
But, you have to drive it to see what you like. Personal Preference is best.

Just like asking "What is better - Coke or Pepsi?" this is a mater of personal preference, that has as many different opinions as there are people to answer.
For my part, I used to be a die hard Ford fan who would not consider a Chevy or GMC, till I test drove a GMC truck and fell in love with it, thus instantly becoming more open minded on the subject.

Whoever said Fords have the better engine is dead wrong. Chevy small block V8 engines are the toughest made...jap or american. So when it comes to the engine, Chevy has 'em all beat...i own a chevy truck and wouldn't trade it for anything.

I am a chevy man threw and threw. So i prefer chevy over a ford. For a little while though I will give it to ford they had chevy beat on the looks. Ford can never touch chevy with Horsepower though they never have never will.

youre going to get a stronger better engine out of the f150, the only problem is ford is known for having horrible problems with their transmissions. All my family drives is fords. Its been that way for years. The engines are nearly indistructable. Other then that when it comes to comparing ford to chevy your basically choosing what style or payment plan you can get.
