I played against two teams in high school that had a girl on their rosters. Though the girls were far down on the depth charts, so I never had to actually match up against them since I was pulled from the game by the time they were sent in during garbage time. I don't think I even made the distinction that they were girls until I saw the ponytails.
Football is a tough sport for just about anyone who plays it. As long as a girl is willing to go through all the practices, lifts, meetings, and runs, then by all means she should be allowed to play. It should only become an issue when someone, either male or female, does not commit him/herself 100% to the program and team.
And if girls can play football, then there shouldn't be any problems for guys to play field hockey.

I think that it is great if a girl wants to play football. Katie Hnida was the first woman to score in a Division I college football game, and she had a great football career as a kicker. Her high school career was great and she was respected by all of the players.
Again that may not be the case for every team. I think that all girls can play with success as long as they have a strong emotional state. Not many men are excepting of the fact of having a woman on the team and sometimes you have to accept that but you don't have to abide by that. there is no written rule where a female can't play football.
everyone female can play...after reading "still kicking" by Katie Hnida i was inspired.

i dont care, really i dont. my high school team is so bad, i highly doubt they'll care.
I heard one girl played a little college football as a kicker, and she wrote a book on it. She was also raped by one of her teammates.
Im not saying its a bad idea, personally i think its a good idea, but be warned. Girls who play football are opening themselves up to be sexually assulted.
As a guy, i know this, and this is why i often invite girls to play football. just kidding, but seriously some girls can play, so as long as the talent is there, be my guest

I think that if a girl has the ability, and the knowledge of the game then there is no reason that she shouldn't be on the team. My little brother had a girl on his pop warner team, and she could totally kick ***. She was one of the best players on the team.

I think they should have as much chance as anybody else. Be nice to see the guys on the sidelines as cheerleaders and the women playing the game.

As long as they are physically able to compete, and earn a spot on the team...they would need a different shower room
