20 years ago they were getting beaten up, today they are taking home the phat cash!

nerd: knows a lot about one thing
dork: cannot dress himself
geek: knows everything..

i might have nerd and geek backwards, but nerds and geeks are typically smart. Dorks are not, dorks are people that everyone (even stupid people) can say, "man that was dumb, you're such a dork"

If I remember my real time history correctly: Nerds came from the Happy Days TV series we 70's kids watched about our ancient ancestors from the 50's in about 1974. Dorks came out w. disco and were the guys who danced like, well, dorks, circa '75 or 6. Geeks came into common modern usage much latter w. the advent of Space Invader machines arriving in our pool halls amongst the pinball machines, generations ago geeks were the circus freaks who would bite the heads of live chickens as part of their show, this mutated to become techy, treky and computer video game obsessives.

A nerd knows a lot, goes to good schools, basically devotes their like to knowledge. You will find them reading. A dork could be any person who just does funny or weird things. Everyone has their dorky moments. A geek will come and fix your computer. They know a lot about a few things and loves to share the knowledge. This person will change the word threw technologies and will be working on hands on things.

A dork sounds meaner. A nerd is a smart person, and a geek is as respectable a term as nerd is.

LOTS of people are dorks :-)

There is a "champion" nerd (the real nerd he is fashioned after is Toby Radloff) in the movie AMERICAN SPLENDOR, and lots of nerd lore.
A geek is just a younger version, who might end up being a nerd, or a cool guy, but he's too young to classify yet. An example is the young guy in SIXTEEN CANDLES (Anthony Michael Hall).

Geeks are intelligent and working on their future. I suppose Bill Gates was a geek.

A dork might be a little clumsy.

A nerd is probably more shy and needs social skills.

Nerds wear glasses and are very studious and smart, especially in the subjects of science and math.

Dorks are dumb and make bad jokes.

Geeks are like nerds but they know more about computers and have tape holding their glasses together at the bridge.

Me, I'm a dork.

A dork is clumsy and inarticulate, a nerd is someone who is a whiz kid and a geek is usually your computer freak who stays glued to his screen, knows everything about programs and installations.
