Believe it or not, people have been doing even more complicated math without calculators for centuries.
Start with the inner-most brackets and solve that first, then work you way out.
1. 6-3 = a
2. 7 X a = b
3. 8+b = c
4. -4 X c= final answer

use PEMDAS (order of operations)
First... parenthasis:
-4(8+7(3))
Next multiply parentheses
-4(8+21)
Next add what's in the parentheses
-4(29)
Next multiply
