An enraged Iranian immigrant used a 3-pound hammer to beat his wife, sister-in-law and mother-in-law to death and then stabbed them repeatedly because he felt "disrespected," police said Monday.

After the attack, Daryoush Ebrahimi, 55, also struck himself several times in the head with the same maul hammer he used to bludgeon his relatives, said Chicago Police Cmdr. Thomas Byrne.

"It was a very difficult scene, and that would be indicative of that type of anger," Byrne said of the two apartments where the bodies were found on the city's far North Side.

Police also found cell phone video messages and a letter that Ebrahimi left at one of the apartments, Byrne said. The FBI is helping translate the messages and letter, which are in Farsi.

"Right now I wouldn't say it's a suicide note ... but it's more about, again, how he feels disrespected, and that's pretty much a reocurring theme in the note," Byrne said.

Let's face it. Most religions were conceived of at a time when some unifying force was necessary to civilize the savages. Nowadays, I don't think many people truly believe in what their religious dogma says.

Remember the 9-11 suicide bombers? They were at a strip club the night before, drinking. I wonder what the Koran has to say about that. We're they just in a rush to "get it on", or did they not believe what their religious teachings had to say about the 70 virgins waiting for them in paradise? Couldn't they have waited another day? Oh gee...... maybe they didn't believe that nonsense at all.

Watch the Sally Fields movie, "Not Without My Daughter".

OK, John..... calm down. Just keep repeating: Peaceful goat herders. Peaceful goat herders.

Oh, I thought you were gonna have an article about the BTK killer who was a christian deacon.

This is very strange - could you possibly be unaware of the tens of thousands of christians who kill their family members in America?

How odd that you would try to tie this family tragedy to islam. Of all places, a country like Iran which has religions besides Islam.

Are you truly not aware of all the people slaughtered by their good christian family members?

Are you, perhaps, not aware of the violent, child murdering Christian armies in north africa?

What is your deal? Are you trying to demonstrate your bigotry or your ignorance? Are you trying to, as an apparent christian, sow discord as a member of another religion of peace?

Exactly what is going on? in your mind?

What ARE you talking about Episco? What violence on the part of Christians? Give us some instances. These people are just animals. I do not know of Christians as a group doing these things, but these people have it ingrained in them and think it is normal.
