With the Sqealers looking like they are headed down hill and the God-less Ravens having to do some major salary reconstruction and the Bungals legal troubles I think a 9-7 season will get us in

The odds of the Browns making the playoffs are not good. Institutionalized losing, frequent mishaps and holes at too many spots mean a Browns Super Bowl run would be an NFL miracle for the ages.

The following things need to happen ...

1. The Ravens fall apart. McNair and Lewis are not getting any younger. If the defense loses confidnce in the quarterback again and slips back to above average, they are not contenders.

2. The Steelers are not immediately receptive to Mike Tomlin's message. There are growing pains and the team has another sub-par year.

3. Enough Bengals get arrested to cause total team paralysis.

4. The Browns are competent.

Let's say they're all 50/50. That leaves you with a 6% chance of the Browns winning the division.

Winning the Wild Card might be just as difficult. They still need to finish ahead of two of the teams in their division and keep pace with the Titans, Jaguars, Chargers, Chiefs, and Broncos.

They'll probably end up picking up Adrian Peterson, so they'll have a good offense this year (he'll open up receivers and better running game), but they're still rebuilding. They'll probably finish 8-8 , 9-7, 7-9 somewhere around there. But you never know, look at the Saints last season 3-13 in 2005. Anything could happen.

The odds are terrible. They play in the toughest division in the NFL where one of the teams will be either a #1 or #2 in the AFC, and both of the other two teams could be wild card teams. Cleveland is neither of those.

I don't think they'll make the playoffs but I do think they will win more games than last year. They could possibly be looking at the playoffs in a few years.

As long as they have Jimmy Brown at full back, the Cleveland Browns so go all the way. Did someone alter my calender?
